Robert “Matt” Matson, Jr. is Vice President of Consulting at Hunter Business Group.  Matt is responsible for key client relationships, business development and client program management.  Matt’s experience includes over 25 years in engineering, sales management, business development, consulting and strategic marketing both in domestic and global markets.

Before joining Hunter, Matt leveraged his international marketing and business development experience solving challenges in diverse industries from personal care to industrial drives.  Matt is a creative strategist with proven ability to analyze, segment and articulate growth for emerging and established markets.  Matt has been successful at creating and leading high performance, cross-functional teams to launch product categories, solve financial challenges and create go-to-market strategies.  His core competencies include leadership, strategy, and building trusted partnerships.

In his tenure before Hunter, Matt sold CAD/CAE, ERP, security, procurement and consulting solutions for Solid Edge, Pro-Engineer, Sun Microsystems, Check Point, Oracle, Cisco, iLux Corporation and eSpendwise. Matt has also consulted for blue chip firms including: IBM, Sealed Air Corporation, Motorola, Belkin, SAIC, CDW, Zebra, Ingersoll Rand, Novartis, FONA, ABB, Square D, HaasTCM, and Volkswagen Credit America.

Matt earned his BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL and his MBA in Marketing and MIS from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.
